Precious Friends ~

I have to share this with you sweet friends . . . . I spent two hours this evening talking on the phone with a dear friend that I've made with this little ol' blog. We are both creative, share ideas, have children, a husband and love talking to one another. The only difference??? I live in Georgia in the United States . . . and Su lives in FRANCE!!!!

Su has free long distance and calls me regularly and I just relish her calls!! My family knows if Su calls they need to get in gear!!! Normally I take care of all things dinner-wise but tonite Su called around 6 pm est. and it was Midnight where she lives!!! Thank goodness she's a night owl like I am or I'd never get to talk to her!

Well, DH took matters in hand and cooked the burgers on the grill and got supper under way for me. How sweet is that??? Su and I share creative ideas all the time. She gives classes in her small French village for wonderful paper card making and other paper art. I share with her all that I'm trying to do as well. We can email images almost instantly to one another and that alone just peels the miles and hours away!

I just love Su, and all the friends I've made while blogging. Just think of us as a modern day pen pals but more than that we are wonderful friends!
Happy Wednesday,
xxoo, Dawn

My two closest friends are ones I made via the internet. I've known them each for about ten years now, and finally got to meet one of them in person last fall, when hubby and I took a trip up to Minnesota where she lives. I love the opportunities the net and blogging offers for meeting new people and forming new relationships! :-)

yes, I consider all of the bloggers friends I've yet to meet! But when you think about it, we sometimes know more about each other through our little blogs... And with the ability to go virtully around the world in a blink?? - well, do we think this is coincedense or God's way of teaching us we really are all connected?!

Hmmm - He really does work in mysterious ways!

Hi Dawn... I am addicted to my blogging. The blog and friends have become a lovely addition to my life. You travel all over the world without ever leaving your home { which is very good for the pocketbook} and meet the most talented people and sincere people. It has been a true blessing for me.... I can hardly wait to meet another new friend... some become very special.......

A wonderful story - thank you for sharing. Wouldn't it be great if your friend Su had a blog and we could all get to know her, too?
Any friend of yours is sure to be charming.

Isn't it grand how the world of blgging has made our world smaller, warmer and cozier!? I made a blogging friend in England and we have talked by phone and it is just amazing to me!!! Absolutely amazing.

That image is one of my favorites and I have used it many times in works about sisters or best friends. Here is a funny... in one project I used it in I had a story line running in my head about how a liteel girl from the U.S. was visiting France and met this other little girl and they became best of friends. In my story this picture was taken right before the little girl from the U.S. had to go back.

Dawn,
As I was reading this I just thought I'd throw out a little prayer for all my blessed blog buddies, of which you are one. I am so thankful for each friendship I have made through blogging. I sincerely hope someday a way is opened up for you to travel to meet Su and spend some one on one time in her studio!

I just love your sweet story about your blogging friend. My friend Jill of bittersweetsoap.com is my friend who encouraged me to start a blog (as part of my eventual on-line business). She has been doing this for some time now and told me about the wonderful friendships she has formed through this method. Well, she was so right--obviously, you can agree. Blogging is one of the most amazing and rewarding directions I have ever traveled. Heck, if it hadn't been for blogging, I would have NEVER found you OR won 4th place in your 500th Post Give-away! I LOVE IT!!!

I ♥ this post Dawn.
My bff lives in Belfast, N.I. and we met as pen pals back in the 80s...you can make some of the most wonderful, life long friendships via the pen or the computer. No doubt about that!! Glad you had such a wonderful chat with Su and that DH did the dinner so you could!
